North Shore VEX Tournament
On Friday, September 29, the doors opened to the 2017 North Shore VEX Robotics Tournament. Seven members of team 4142 showed up to prepare for the competition on the next day. Skills were already open for the day and team 4142A decided to take the opportunity and it paid off.
On September 30th, team 4142 arrived at Waialua Intermediate and High School at 6:30 a.m. for the 2017 North Shore VEX Robotics Tournament. All 37 teams were ready to compete for the spots in states. All of team 4142 showed determination and perseverance throughout the competition. Many scores were extremely close, especially quarter finals match 3-2 where team 4142C and their alliance 359D from Waialua scored 73 points while their opposing alliance scored a total of 72 points. |
Team 4142A were in an alliance with 359A from Waialua High and Middle School and 2473A from Sacred Hearts Academy. By the end of the day, Team 4142A were Tournament Champions, Robot Skills Finalists, and received the Design Award, Team 4142B were quarter finalists in an alliance with 4109K from 808 Robotics and 3008A from Kalani High School. Team 4142C were Tournament finalists in an alliance with 359D from Waialua High and Intermediate School and 1973A from Mililani High School. |
