2019 VEX VRC SIGNATURE EVENT: MARK LEON INVITATIONAL
This event was the talk of the season since a team could qualify for the World Championship! 4142B competed in the 2019 VEX VRC Signature Event: Mark Leon Invitational held at Saint Louis School from July 15, 2019 to July 18, 2019.
There were 24 other teams competing from around the island and outer islands. There were also teams from different states being California, Texas, Minnesota, and Connecticut, as well as teams from other countries such as China. |
Team 4142B had a win-lose-tie record of 9-1-0 leaving them in the 1st rank position at the end of the qualifying matches. 4142B and their alliance 4442X, Navigator Robotics, from Island Pacific Academy, advanced from the Round Robin 16, and won their quarterfinals and semifinals match.
They faced 25461Z, Uncharted, from Texas and 21000C, _21st_Century_Ninja_, from California in the finals, and won with a score of 64 points to 48 points.
4142B won the Excellence Award making them the first Hawaii team to qualify for the World Championship in April!
