ECUH VEX Challenge (University of Hawaii)
Team 4142 A and 4142 C competed on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the ECUH VEX Challenge (University of Hawaii), as their fourth qualifying tournament. Using team work, communication, perseverance, and strategy 4142 A ranked 4th out of 36 teams, and 4142 C ranked 5th, at the end of qualification matches. Simultaneously, both teams challenged in skills, both robot and programming. As a result, team 4142 A's hard work payed off; they ranked 1st place in both robot and program skills! As for 4142 C, they ranked right below the A team, in 2nd place for programming, and for robot skills, 6th place. Anyways. the teams were more excited for competing in the semi finals; it then it all came down to the finals, team 4142 A alliance with 359 A and 394 (red), against 4142 C alliance with 359 B and 3590 B (blue). Finals match 1: with a score of 270, and 154, a win for red alliance! It isn't over yet, after red's first win, all they need is one more, but with blue alliance motivated, their hard work payed off, With a score of 270, to 154, blue takes the win. After making changes, such as batteries, code, and prepping for the last and final match that will determine the winner. Before it begins, alliances shake hands, and then it begins. The results are in, with a score of 255-168...Red alliance takes the WIN! But in the end it's not about winning or losing, as a whole the team looks back on lessons learned, but on a less serious note, how much fun we had. It was a great experience to compete against, and with teams, and to also work together to great who we are, 4142 Charger Robotics.
