Lion Club's valentine's breakfast
On Saturday morning the robotics team arrived early at the PCHS Cafeteria to volunteer with the Pearl City Lion's Club Valentine's Breakfast they hold every year. When on site the team split up into workers and demonstrators.
The demonstrators set up the Toss-Up field and invited kids and adults to drive a robot. We had both our A and B team robots available to drive. We set up our sign, lined up our VEX Awards and offered buttons to the kids. It was great to see kids so interested in robotics and enjoyable to talk with them. They helped the kids shoot Large Balls and score Bucky Balls.
Our workers spent the morning washing and drying dishes. We assisted the kitchen staff and helped clean up the cooking area keeping the kitchen clean and keeping the work flow smooth.
We were delighted to help the Lion's Club in their Valentine Breakfast. We are thankful to the Pearl City Lion's Club for sponsoring us and are gladto be able to give back to them. It was a great experience and a successful outreach in our efforts to get more involved in the community.
