Hawaiian Electric Companies Hawaii State High School VEX Championship
On Friday, December 11 to December 12, 2015 We had the honor to host the Hawaii Electric Companies Hawaii State High School VEX Championship. With the pressure of hosting the tournament, all three teams managed competing. As a result, 4142 A ranked 1st out of 32 teams, 4142 B ranked 7th, and 4142 C ranked 8th. This tournament was by far the most challenging, but who doesn't like a little challenge? Simultaneously, teams had the chance to work their skills, in the end 4142 A received the programming skills award, 4142 B robot skills, and 4142 C ranked 3rd in programming, 4th in robot skills. Afterwards, the team focused on semi finals; alliance with 4142 A was our very own 4142 B and 1841 A. As for 4142 C, they alliance with 7312 B and 2932 B. Unfortunately, 4142 C was knocked out in the Quarter Finals. Throughout the entire tournament though, 4142 A, B and 1841 A went undefeated, therefore they were awarded the Tournament Champions. In addition, team 4142 A received the Excellence Award. This tournament was the most important to us, not only that it will qualify world championships, but having the honor of hosting the tournament, and also having to be the best we can be. This tournament reflected who we are, and we couldn't have done it without Highlands Intermediate's generosity of also hosting the tournament. Besides the awards, and the accomplishments, we are still 4142 Pearl City High School Robotics Team.
