East Oahu VEX Competiton
After a long summer full of brainstorming, engineering, and programming the Pearl City High School Charger Robotics has entered the 2016 East Oahu Vex Competition, their first to show Hawaii what they're made of. The team was excited to finally compete with other teams across Hawaii. While qualification matches started each team member had reacted like it was a sixth sense: charger robot and joystick batteries, prep the robot for inspection, get the tool kits out, and find our competition and alliances. They were ready for this, prepared to give their 110%.
Throughout the day the team did encounter many problems. autonomous, skills, and the competition in general; but nothing that they couldn't handle. Other than the drive team, they had their supportive scouters, scouting the competition; which robots were efficient, and which ones that would compliment us as the #1 seed.
In the end, 4142 A was ranked 1st, and 4142 B was ranked 3rd; however the team decided to not only start the competition together but end it together as well. Team 4142 A was alliance with team 4142 B and 1973 B, Mililani High School. As a result, team 4142 A went undefeated the entire tournament, and continued with the help of their alliance, sister team 4142 B and Mililani high School, 1973 B.
